How it is calculated
The figure comes from the annual broadband coverage report of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, which states for every municipality the share of households reached by each technology and speed. We rank by gigabit coverage, the speed band that matters most to people who work from home with video calls and large files.
Coverage means a network reaches the household and a contract is possible; it says nothing about how many people subscribe or what speed they actually get. The report is a snapshot taken in June and published the following year. A municipal figure can hide big differences inside it: the town centre may be fully covered while scattered houses and estates on the edge are not, which is common on this coast.
Before you buy, check coverage at the exact address with the operators. The place page shows fibre, high-speed and 5G coverage from the same report.
