Tourist lets by municipality, 05/2026
This dataset gives, for every municipality in Spain, the number of homes offered as tourist lets, the number of beds in them, and their share of all homes in the municipality. It comes from the National Statistics Institute (INE), which measures tourist housing from the listings of the main short-term rental platforms and publishes it as experimental statistics.
For a buyer, the share of tourist lets says a lot about a neighbourhood: how busy it is in summer, how much long-term rental housing is left, and how likely the local council or the community of owners is to restrict new licences. It also feeds our crime rates: tourist-let beds are part of the second denominator for resort towns.
The share is calculated over the housing stock of the latest census, so it does not reflect homes built since. Experimental statistics can be revised as INE improves the method.

How we calculate zone and province figures
A zone or province figure combines the values of its municipalities that have data, weighted by population, and states how many of them have the figure. When an agency publishes a value directly for the province, we use the published value and say so. A combined figure describes the area as a whole; towns within it can differ a lot, and their own pages show it.
