Living in the province of Murcia
Murcia is a single-province region, so the province and the Región de Murcia are the same territory. Its coast is the Costa Cálida: the Mar Menor lagoon with San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier and Los Alcázares, then Cartagena, Mazarrón and Águilas towards Andalucía. The city of Murcia lies inland in the Segura valley, with Molina de Segura and Alcantarilla close by; further inland are Lorca, Totana, Caravaca de la Cruz and the wine towns of Jumilla and Yecla. Summers inland are among the hottest in Spain, which shows in the climate columns.
